Schew...... Just five more minutes please
G'day Mates! We have had a blast the last two days walking and roaming around. We got to play with some koala's, kangaroos, wombat, a few snakes (Eeeeeek - yes Rowan we actually TOUCHED a python.....), AN EMU - Natalie....
The weather - for their winter - has been quite mild - till today! Today it was a bit nippy and dark. A perfect day for a tour of the blue mountains. We toured three winerys and had a blast exploring the countryside. We made some new friends along the way as well. Oddly enough there was a nice gentleman on Holiday from Grand Rapids MI via Taiwan.
The weather was a bit nippy - but still nice. I took alot of overcasts pictures that just showed Mother Nature at it's finest!!!
Small problem here in Sydney - everything closes early. We returned around 2000 from the tour and I was HUNGRY! So we went looking for a place - we ended up at Mackies... (shhhhhh don't tell the girls....) Actually Mackies - McDonald's - is a rather healthy alternative. They have fresh Deli Sandwiches, yogurt, Muesli and salads fresh made. So - it wasn't too badd!
Other funny things I have noticed....
They have this energy drink here that is PURE GUARNA (My kinda drink)
"Straight Away" - Right Way
"Okiely Dokiely" - OK
"A set" - drink with a meal
"A Kiwi" - New Zealander
"Aucker" - Aussie
"Chips" - FRENCH FRIES!!!!! Everything comes with chips here! EVERYTHING. Just about the Thai food does as well. We had a NICE dinner on the harbor the other nite and a fancy plate of PRAWNS - and CHIPS...... Blows me away....
"FAR OUT!" - No way!
"Pumpkin" - SQUASH
There is Hungry Jack - Not Burger King.
There is a Power Juice - Not Jamba Juice
The children here - go to school all year with three breaks. (Natalie) They happen to be on break right now. : ) When they are in school they are not allowed to go outside for recess or anything else without A HAT!!!! (ROWAN). Sunscreen is sold EVERYWHERE here and believe it or not ROWAN - Mommy has worn sunscreen all week and I am STILL feeling the sun burn......
Alright MUST sign off - tired and need sleep. More touring tomorrow!!!!!!!
BTW - my shoes are a hit here guys - AND - they are so comfortable. Thanks for helping me pick them out Rowan!!!!
Sorry Trish - I have looked all over for your CD - the groups CD's have been discontinued and there is only one left of mass market. I went to Virgin, Red Eye (four different stores) and a few obscure record places in the country. Sorry.......
