What can we say......

G'day mates! Just when we thought it couldn't get better - it got unbelievably amazing last night. The day was jam packed with information, fun and fellowship. We put some fum time in between seminars - and then returned for the fantastic 1700 and 1900 services.
The first service was kicked off by Michael W Smith and then Reinhardt Bonhke preached - and man did he preach. We were craving five more minutes when he was done and he promised to return on Friday to feed us again!

Upon walking out of the first service to get back in line for the second service there were chairs and chairs of people, lines of people, sitting and standing - watching the big screens outside of the stadium. Hillsong had filled the Superdome - filled it and over flowed the superdome to the concourse outside!!!!! All praising and worshiping God, praying and coming together in unity. It was a phenomenal sight that took your breath away.

The Second Service - was even better. Michael W Smith carried the praise and worship for an hour and half. Not one person sat during that hour... we all stood praising God, praying and worshiping. At about 2100 here - Pastor Brian Houston stood up and told us of the unfolding events in London (As they just happened there) and the entire stadium, and the concourse of overflow outside joined hands to pray in unity, one voice, reaching to heaven for safety, peace and healing in London. It was a phenominal (I am telling you they don't have spell check here in Aussie and they don't have normal keyboards..... Excuse the typos limited time and minutes at the cafe')

There was NO way you could have left either service, must less both, without a sense that God was truly in this place, doing a mighty thing in Australia. I was unaware - till my electives yesterday - that LESS THAN 3% of Australia is Saved. That the teenage suicide rate is #1 in the WORLD. That Teenage Abortion is second only to the United States. That suicide in this country has risen 70% over that last few years. There are 28 STDS currently recorded in Australia AND America. Things that just left my jaw hanging down.....

We returned to our hotel invigorated and exhausted at the same time. BUT we will be back tomorrow - for a fresh day of praising, worshiping, feeding and praying!!!!

Prayers go out to those in London - there are many people here at the conference that were deeply, closely and personally effected by this news....

Note to the girls - we are fine!!!! We love you and MISS YOU! Big HUGS and KISSES!!!!!

I'm planning to call you at 10
min to 4pm Cgo time see if we can catch you before you leave the room.
Mon July we enjoyed a wonderful cookout at the home of Jill and Dan's
pastor's house. What a house he has, huge and filled with lovely
antiques. It is a 3 story brick sitting on a corner. Nat and Ro both
had a great time playing there. The food was great. Tues July 5 Leon
drove Jill, Nat & Grammie to the Art Museum in downtown Chicago. The
art contained in that building is awesome and would takre several days
to cover. Later Jill drove Nat and Gramm to the Art & JCraft store
where we got water paints, paper and a couple of brushes. The paper is
special for water colors and maybe should be saved until Nat gets
better at it. (Maybe some lessons) Ro stayed home w/Gramp who took her
w/ bike up and down several streets and to the park. They brought bike
home and then went to MacDonalds and Dominics. Also white elephant.
Then came back to put more miles on bike. BTW Jill showed us another
net second hand store. Bought some puter cups. Wed July 6 around 11am
Daren drove Jill, Nat,Ro, Gramp and Gram to the Navy Pier. There the
girls had a gleeful time at the Childrens Museum followed by the mose
awesome sail boat ride on the Windy 1 where Daren and Mandy work.
After leaving the pier in the boat(140 feet long BTW) Gramp and Nat
helped to raise the sales. Mandy and Daren entertained the girls all
the trip. Mandy showing them several knots and knot tricks.
We were shown all through the boat(3 stories) from the kitchen down to
the stinkey bunk rms(guys quarters) It was fastenating. After that
took the girls to Mickey D's . Oh BTW Nat and Ro got to fire off and
clean the cannon on the deck. Dan came and picked us up for a ride
home. Kids road their biks in the alley then we came in to get ready
for the meeting. Oh forgot to tell you Gramp got sea sick so he came
home and laid down for a spell. Also Wed was clean up your bedroom
day.
Thurs July 7 : We have been saturating Ro in sun screen, If there is
anything that I can't find I ask Ro. She KNOWS EVERYTHING! She loves
to help and always tells Grammie,"Thats not how my jDaddy does it".
There seems to be a lot of rivelry and competitive spirite between the
two, which is norman I suppose but inow who gets the raw end. Nat
loves her new paints and they both sat down and did a pi cture. We are
waiting for groceries, Grandpa is down watering the plants on the
patio. Girls still sleeping. Hope to hook up to you guys this pm at
4:00 Cgo time. Groceries came at 10:30 . All put away. JWe are
contemplating the sleep over Fri nite for Nat. Not sure what the plan
is. She is starting to get her overnight case ready . Well thats up
to now. Glad you were able to get away and have some R&R plus some
insperational time.
Love you,
Mom and Dad
