The Scrapbook Expo

Schew - just got home a lil while ago. I am running into work (literally) to work four hours for someone. A deal I made before I left now wishing I hadn't - but it might be the break I need to come home and scrap some more.

Something I noticed while I was there.... Apparently you can be a scrapbooker or a knitter but you can't be both. I took my lil commuter bag to the expo to knit between classes (like there was no time) and on down time while the girls played, swim, ran and went wild. Well - everytime II pulled out the knititng I got the strangest looks. One lady even told me I was at a "Scrapbooking Expo." Like, my Lime Green Memory tote sitting next to me, jammed pack with my supplies, the bags of almost finished mini albums from my classes and my inked up hands wasn't proof enough that I realized I was at a Scrapbooking expo. Maybe it was the fact that I was knitting a sock - which isn't something people see every day?

Anyhoo.....

I got several mini albums done (Seven total I think) and three of them will be gifts. Again - the camera (or rather my camera since THE camera is Norm's D50 and there would have been issues if that had been broken) was broken on Saturday. Egads - what will I do - I can't take pictures.... Rowan can't take pictures.... We need to get it fixed or get a new one soon!!!!!

I got a couple of layouts (6 I think) done and ready for me to add pictures. I do not take pictures. I went last year and never got a chance to use them. I know pretty much what the min album will be for so I can accomidate any pictures that might be added later. Again - I take classes to focus me and get things done. I did learn several cool techniques in each class and I have to say - SEI, Rusty Pickle and Quick Quotes are the BOMB for classes! So much material... many cool techniques and great giveaways!!!! SEI - is usually pretty plain - but you have the opportunity to dress it up. Rusty Pickle is always innovative and Rustic (ha ha no pun intended). Quick Quotes - all about distressing baby!!!!

This was the album I finished on Saturday during a Quick Quotes class. It is so darn cute.....

Al - from Windy City Scrapbooking. She made a family weekend out of it too! She is a hoot! Every time I turned around I ran into her. She was teachers aid at this SEI class (SHE LOVES SEI!). She was also helping at the crops both nights.

This album, done waiting for pictures, is a Mother's Day gift for my mom. I actually like these colors too. Maybe it's the lime green - orange really isn't me. It's one of the preservation albums. An album in a bag.

This album is a gift also. A Quick Quotes class. AWESOME class. It's a 20 page album for a wedding. I have two weddings this summer.... hmmmm I have a head start!

Here is Rowan's American Girl Doll album I got all laid out and placed at the Crop!!!!!! See I was productive and back in my MOJO!
