Friday Journaling Challenge from BonnieRose

1. List the people from your past who you would like to reconnect with through Email.( if only you could find them...) All the people from my youth group days when I grew up in Florida. All the people I connected with on retreats, youth missions and youth group get togethers. We stayed intouch for a while - but something about college, getting a life and career splits you up. My faith is grounded by these people even though I strayed through the years. I would love to reconnect with them to thank them for my spiritual foundation and just see how they are doing in their life (lives).

2. List the companies you wish you owned.
  • Coca Cola (hello - do you see how many countries they are in, how many companies they own and how they have infiltrated our pop culture over the last century??).
  • Google - Enough said.
  • Starbucks - just to get free coffee whenever I wanted. I wouldn't have to own the company, just a starbucks.
  • Apple - I LOVE MY MAC. I would just want all the new Mac products for demo myself.
  • Zondervan - rumor has it there is a annotated, study bible - amplified edition coming out. I would like to be the first to have one. I would LOVE to be on the cutting edge of Christian books filtering through my home.
  • I wished I owned a scrapbook/art store. A combo of my FAV LSS and Sister Art Studios. That would be so much fun. I would wake up LOVING to goto work every day. To raise my kids in that environment would be a hoot too!!!

3. List the things you do to defy aging. Run, workout, apply moisturizer to my face (only once a day - I should do that how oxy acid peel thing at night - just don't have the time. Usually when I head to bed I am exhausted and it is all I can do to find my bed much less slab stuff on my face) and I guess color my hair - but I don't do it cause I see grey - because I need COLOR!!! That's about it... I am not afraid of age.... bring it on (shhhhh don't tell time that).

4. List what you do to snap out of a bad mood.
  • Time spent in the word and with God.
  • My Girls (and hubby)
  • scrapbooking (and now knitting - YES I HAVE BECOME ADDICTED!!!!)
  • a nice glass of wine
  • Starbucks
  • Working out
  • Spending loads of money at Sister Art Studio (for the girls - seriously) or my FAV LSS!

Challenge:

List 10 things that are GUARANTEED to put you in a good mood!!!

  1. A good mail day (magazines, mail order, post card, card, good news.... whatever. It only takes one item!)
  2. Butterfly kisses and squishy hugs from my girls whether in person or over the phone at work (or where ever I am).
  3. Getting paid (usually).
  4. Shopping at my LSS or hanging there (and now you can add Sister Art Studio).
  5. <>Working out - I get a sense of accomplishment. Whenever I am tired, awnry, too moody, don't want to workout cause, it's too cold, it's raining, it's too far to walk to the gym (it's like six blocks to the gym - that's it), I don't have time, "whatever." If I even take authority and say "Get ye behind me Satan" and go work out (even if it's just running through the neighborhood) - I feel so much better and have won the mental challenge I deal with daily that prevents me working out.....
  6. Time in prayer.
  7. Listening to music and either reading, bloggin, scrapbooking, (NOW) knitting or just chillin with the girls.
  8. Time at the local Starbucks (pick one of eight - don't believe me - click on the link and pick one) with my Mac on the WiFi BY MYSELF sitting by the fire sippin a latte (or whatever) is a real mug.
  9. Walking home from work (knowing that I am done with my shift. BONUS if I have several days off afterwards).
  10. Going to the movies (as a family unit - they don't make "family" movies as much as they use to so going to the movies - all four of us - is a TREAT.)

Fun Fact Friday
"Altering Me."

Lil known altering facts about me....

  • I have a tatoo on my back (No Nat NOT my butte' my lumboscaral area. There is a difference).
  • I have a belly button ring.
  • I have a earring in my upper lobe area.
  • I use to have a nose ring (Before Marriage).
  • I was once a honey dew blonde, then bleach blond, then bleach blonde with black tips, then bleach blonde with black roots, then raven black then various shades of red including blackberry, roxy red and burgandy both curly and straight. Now I just try mimick the original red of my childhood with a lil flare of modern lights (whether that is hi or low).
That's about all I have altered on me. Usually (other than the hair) they are during times I am feeling "Maternal" or "dull." My hair is the one thing I shake up to give me a "lift" about every few months. Before kids, it would be on a monthly basis.... now I just don't have the time or energy. Now if I just had pictures of all these alterings wouldn't that make a hoot of a layout!
