The American Girl Doll Experience!

Well we did it - the American Girl Doll Experience.
For Rowan's Birthday she chose to do a day at the American Girl Doll Place!
Here we are entering.

American girl doll004_edited-1, originally uploaded by Freakrn.

It was a morning of preparation for this moment though.....

We had to stop for Hot Cocoa AND a look through the American Girl Doll catalogue JUST to make sure we were on the same page.....

With the doll picked out she was MORE than ready to HEAD out!
I barely had time to snap this picture. We put a straw in the cup so she could finish while she was walking!

THEN after entering - she found her doll.
I just about had to sprint to keep up with her as she found her way back to the dolls....

She couldn't wait to get her hands on "Melissa." Check out the red hair!!!!!
THEN there was the lunch..... can you believe they had a chair for Melissa?????

Check out this Appetizer!!!! Could it be any more cute?

Cocoa???

And of course a cup for Melissa!

The American Girl Picnic (two hot dogs, mac and cheese and fruit) on a HEART shaped plate.....

Then Desert - Mini Flower pot dirt moouse, white tea cake and sugar cookie. Of course the flower in the flower pot goes in our hair to wear home. I gave mine to Melissa.

AND LOOK AT THESE COLORS!!!!!!!

Can you imagine what colors I will use to do a layout on this day???

Not to mention the embellishments......

Okay off to the gym..........
I am in pants that did not fit me a month ago...
and they are comfortable....

I am so excited to finally hear from someone who has visited the American Girl store!! I think I am more of a doll fanatic than my daughters. I plan to take them to the new one in NY (it is closer to me) before they get too old and I don't want to look ridiculous going by myself :). Can't wait to see your layouts!

Oh for my DD to be 10 years younger! I am so excited for you and DD to have such a wonderful shared experience, and you are so smart to have gotten such glorious layout material (ie photos) of the entire process step by step! Just curious: do you think that having a blog helped you accomplish this? I mean, this brought home to me how to document an excursion or event if I want to show n tell in my blog. Thanks and congrats! (And thanks so much for your kind compliments on my DD at my blog - you made my day!)
